答案:p.306,p.308;He emphasized the absolute power of God and, like Luther, stressed the supremacy of the Bible. He held that no one could win salvation by atonement or good works. However, one should still be moral and industrious. Calvin encouraged production and commerce and insisted on individual virtues of honesty, thrifty, simplicity, and toil. Calvinists were inspired to lead virtuous, hard working lives. Calvin also believed that every Christian was required to take part in the work of the state. Thus Calvinists were deeply involved in the political, social, educational, and economic developments of the country in which they lived.
